FOUNDATION

The donation is not a promise.
It is a line of code.

Every redemption commits a fixed share on-chain to a foundation dedicated to the scientific search, accrued on-chain and swept to its wallet by a call anyone can make. No person can change it, pause it, divert it, or skim it.

§01
THE PATH

Where the money goes

Nothing is left out, because nothing can be
1A redemption happens.

Someone returns a forged artifact to the contract. The contract burns it and computes a payout from the current pool.

2The payout splits three ways, written in.

Most goes to the person redeeming. A share stays in the pool. And a fixed share is committed, in that same transaction, on-chain, to a Foundation-bound escrow inside the contract.

3The escrow can only hold and forward.

Its destination address is set when the contract is built and cannot be changed. There is no withdrawal path to the team or to anyone else. There is no treasurer and no discretion.

4A permissionless sweep moves it out.

A single function, callable by anyone, including you, forwards the accrued total from the escrow to the foundation's wallet. This is the one step the contract defers, and no insider controls it.

A note on honesty. The running counter rises continuously as shares accrue; the transfer to the foundation batches through the sweep. So the truthful claim is "a fixed share of activity, provably accrued on-chain, and swept to the foundation", not "donated instantly on every swap." We say the true thing even though the false thing markets better.
§02
BY DESIGN

Nothing. By design.

What the foundation has to do

A foundation that receives this flow has zero operational obligations. It need not run a node, sign a transaction, hold a key, integrate any software, or even acknowledge receipt. Funds arrive at an address it controls, through a sweep anyone can call.

This is deliberate, and it is a courtesy. The foundation is the charitable destination of a mechanical flow. It is not a partner, not a sponsor, not a participant. The project is built this way so the foundation carries none of the project's reputation and none of its risk. Accepting or declining the gift is entirely the recipient's choice. The mechanism imposes nothing and assumes nothing.

You protect the thing you respect by keeping your distance from it.

Committed rises as shares accrue. Swept moves when a sweep is called. Both are on-chain. We do not report these to you. We point at the ledger.
THE READING · MONTHLY TRANSPARENCY DROP
Once a month we publish The Reading, a transparency drop that shows exactly what the donation flow has done since the last one, straight from the public dashboard, with a record you can read line by line. We do not speak for what the foundation does with the funds. We point at the number, and the number is on the chain.

GALILEO is an independent community project. It references only public catalogs of astronomy and the public record of unexplained phenomena. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any university, government agency, foundation, or individual scientist. It promises no financial return of any kind. The donation flow is mechanical, hardcoded, and publicly verifiable. The core software is independently reviewed before promotion, and the findings are published in full.

The looking was always going to be funded by someone. Let it be all of us.
